Dear Friends,
At the Mast Store, we steep ourselves in traditions — the traditions of a general
store, the traditions of family get-togethers, the traditions of taking care of others.
As I pondered this year’s message, I thought about the good in people — the folks
you know and those you get to know.
It was evident after Helene, when neighbors started helping neighbors in whatever
way they could. We are still overwhelmed with the response of strangers (now good
friends) who sent love and supplies and then volunteered to help our communities
rebuild. We ALL really needed it right after the storm and are grateful. There’s still
work to do, but we are turning a corner and looking forward to better times.
I thank all of you who purchased Mountain Strong merchandise (new Milestone
design on page 13). We will continue to give 20% of the sales to help our neighbors.
